Crypto vs. Real Estate

What Does Twitter Think is the Better Buy?

Laptop Analytics - Crypto vs. Real Estate

Nearly a year into the bear market, things can look pretty bleak into the short-term.

I work to provide unique insights on what is occurring in the market as well as focus on the long-term as an investor. I produce analysis that covers bitcoin, cryptocurrency and traditional markets.

One of the key insights I have been focusing on recently is market sentiment, using Twitter polling. To bring you the latest trends on crypto Twitter, I recently completed another four surveys that tell a tale about market sentiment.

The key survey conducted covers forms of passive income.

Real Estate is King

Real Estate is still king, beating out cryptocurrency and DeFi as the best form of passive income. This is interesting, considering a large portion of my following is crypto-related.

Out of 686 total respondents, 298 picked real estate as #1.

Crypto was in a somewhat distant second, with 227 answers.

Dividend stocks had 138 responses for 3rd.

I followed up with snapshots into some of the major altcoins to test for their communities sentiment.

Ethereum

A bleak picture for the top altcoin. While the volume was solid, bullish answers beat out bearish responses by just 8 votes, 169–161.

XRP

The XRP army showed up with more enthusiasm, as one could expect. The major cryptocurrency has not had great price growth since the beginning of the SEC lawsuit in 2020, but the core community remains quite active on Twitter.

160 answered bullish, with 61 bearish replies.

BNB

While this is one of the major blockchains, a much smaller sample size responded. This indicates less enthusiasm or familiarity for this project among my followers.

55 of the respondents were bullish, more than two-to-one over the bearish answers.
